Free LinkedIn Profile advice for fired Twitter staff
Scottish ‘Linkedin Doctor’ David Petherick is offering staff affected by the recent layoffs at Twitter free expert advice to improve their Linkedin Profile.
Twitter which was recently bought over by Elon Musk, laid off around 50% of its 7,500 staff members on Friday 4th November, sending a brutal email to employees with the news that they were either fired or retained.
To help these members of staff globally find new jobs, David will be interviewing affected staff one-to-one via Zoom, and then giving them specific written advice with links to custom online content to help them improve their career prospects. All free of charge.
Devastating news
David Petherick said: "The news about Twitter has been devastating, and has, and will be widely reported. But behind the headlines, real people's lives have been shattered overnight. I am aiming to give them a ray of hope, and help them to refocus their energy towards finding new roles.
At the very least, having a sympathetic and expert ear to talk to, and giving their online profiles a professional microsurgery will have a positive effect on their mental state. I've been doing this professionally since 2006, and have been on Twitter since 2007 @petherick. This is just a small way of saying thank you to these amazing people, and offering them some practical support at a very difficult time in their lives."
